Director Mark Gandolfo and I were excited to show “Hidden Cave” to attendees of the Great Basin Consortium Conference at the Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno. The Great Basin Consortium (GBC) is a group of partners who coordinate and collaborate on topics related to the sustainability of Great Basin ecosystems and human communities. Mark and I participated in the poster session portion of the GBC.
Two posters (see picture below) were purposely constructed to represent Hidden Cave’s continuing story of change and its illustration of multi-institution collaborations that have a regional impact. It’s unbelievable how the cave’s landscape has transformed–from times of plentiful plants, animals and water to more recent times of drought.
Overall, it was a wonderful forum to interact and learn more about significant Great Basin projects as well as share important information about our film project.
